While browsing though some local Minnesota blogs today I came across one talking about staying true to our Scandinavian roots and a NY Times article that noticed!
I am mostly Swedish with a hint of Irish and grew up with lutefisk and lefse on the table at Christmas. Swedish pancakes topped with lingonberries is still my favorite breakfast. And I love to fika! (to take a coffee break with something sweet). Here is the NY Times article that you should definitely check out. Especially if you like food even half as much as I do: nytimes.com/2012/08/01/dining/twin-cities-embrace-their-nordic-food-heritage The blog I discovered the link on is: http://www.secretsofthecity.com/ And the restaurant making the splash: The Bachelor Farmer Enjoy the read! I'm going to fika right now thought I'd love to be going to The Bachelor Farmer for a delicious meal! x
